Très beau bouquin , très technique , qui s'adresse à des photographes amateurs avertis . Personnellement , je doute de l’intérêt pour eux que peuvent représenter certains articles . C'est quand même costaud à mettre en oeuvre car il faut déjà avoir de bonnes bases en noir et blanc ..
Comme bien souvent avec M.Freeman on est ici en présence d'un excellent ouvrage, technique mais abordable. Même si on n'est pas un adepte de Photoshop, comme moi, c'est la démarche qui est intéressante et en cherchant un peu, on reproduit assez facilement certaines manips dans un autre logiciel (Gimp en ce qui me concerne)Je possède pas mal de livres sur ce sujet, je les aime tous, surtout celui la...
Enfin un livre qui parle aux amateurs éclairés voulant faire de la bonne photo noir et blanc. Très bien documenté, et pas d'explications inutiles sur les types de films (forcément, mais trop de livres sont encore destinés aux deux supports et donc ne sont jamais tout à fait appropriés). Comme toutes nos photos sont systématiquement en couleur, le noir et blanc n'est donc obtenu que par manipulation a posteriori. Ce livre de Mr Freeman part donc du présupposé que vous possédez le logiciel adéquat; dans ce cas ci, Photoshop. De nombreuses références sont faites aux courbes, donc si vous ne posséder "que" Photoshop Elements, vous ne pourrez traduire directement ces conseils dans les faits (d'autres logiciels ont les courbes). Attention, ce n'est pas un de ces livres avec des instructions pas-à -pas (genre Scott Kelby, absolument excellent au demeurant), mais bien de bonnes pratiques, d'exemples. Un des très bon moyen de se lancer dans la photo N&B.Un mot sur la traduction, qui se veut un peu littéraire, pourquoi pas? Par contre, lire "utiliser LE Photoshop" (plutôt que "utiliser Photoshop") est assez énervant. A croire que le traducteur ne sait pas ce que c'est. Gênant, mais pas grave.En conclusion, un must pour tout photographe digital. Complet et précis.
"LE" ne veut pas dire "Light Edition" ? si c'est photoshop Elements....Bon livre, bonne méthode.. efficace !
